Principal’s update

Good afternoon,We had a very positive busy week.  We held 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade honors and trade awards.

  • Thank you to Ms. Howarth and Ms. Stevens for their work with their HBC students.  A big Congratulations to the 11 Hairdressing seniors who passed their test Connecticut State Board test yesterday! It was a tough 4 years but they succeeded in accomplishing their goal! They will now graduate high school as a fully licensed Cosmetologist. Many are already working or in contact with the CTTEAC members who participated in our job fair last week to begin working in the field. We are all very proud of them!
  • The Seniors are moving closer to graduation.  The Seniors had their trip to Holiday Hill today. They had a great time and the weather cooperated.  Below are some pictures of the festivities.
  • Here is the link for the final issue of the year for The Owl Gazette.  Thank you again to Ms. Sumowski and the Owl Gazette team!!

  • Seniors, continue to stay focused as we fast approach your end-of-year events; Senior day, and ultimately graduation!
  • Students are not allowed to leave school property when arriving at school, for example going to Krauzers.  Students should not come to school late with Dunkin Donuts or other fast food. School breakfast is available from 7:00 -7:25 am.
  • As always, come to school prepared to learn, be on time, and in proper uniform.  Ripped jeans, slides, mid-drif shirts, sunglasses, and hats are not to be worn in school.   Treat every day as preparation for college or a career!
  • Finish off the year on a positive note!!
  • Students and staff should have their IDs visible.  We must continue to adhere to safety protocols.
